Become a Sponsor — Expedition Alert: Stories from the High Arctic
Expedition Alert brings visitors into Alert, Nunavut, the northernmost permanently inhabited place on Earth. This exhibit shares the extraordinary biodiversity of the Polar Desert and the urgent realities of climate change unfolding in the Arctic today.
At the heart of the project is the fieldwork of emerging researchers from the Université du Québec à Rimouski (UQAR), whose work helps deepen our understanding of Arctic ecosystems and their role in sustaining life on Earth.
Guided by the principle of Two-Eyed Seeing, the exhibit also honours Indigenous knowledge and lived perspectives, offering a fuller, more balanced understanding of the North — and what it can teach us about our shared future.
