Roots of Resilience Lifelong Learning Series – Watercolour Painting Workshop
May 20 / 11:00 AM - 2:00 PMFree Watercolour Painting Workshop for all levels, Beginners welcome!
Our Roots of Resilience Lifelong Learning Series celebrates the ways art connects us to our natural world, shapes our memories and strengthens communities. This painting workshop invites participants to paint the flowers we see and remember. Thinking about how flowers are woven though our personal and collective stories, marking events.
The session blends gentle instruction with personal reflection. What flowers do you like? What do they mean to you? What do different flowers mean to different communities?
Participants will be guided step‑by‑step through creating a few different types of flowers then left to explore the medium and source images with assistance as needed to create a unique individualized bouquet. The painting will be simple enough for beginners yet open to personal interpretation.
The program is open to all ages, but it’s especially tailored for adults 55+, featuring seated easy-going activities.
